Plot:
The Oblivion Crisis left a once-great Empire strewn in ruins even with the towering avatar of Akatosh to watch over their Imperial City. It's been three years since the gates were shut and without an heir to the Imperial throne, hope fell short for the Elder Council. Without authority or even a legitimate claim to rule the Empire, provinces began to cede one by one. In a desperate attempt to attain order, the Elder Council ordered the Imperial Legion Reserve to try to convince through, sometimes violent policy, to rejoin the peaceful and diplomatic organization. The ranks were stretched thin and war erupted all over Tamriel.
As Tamriel split, the individual nations vied for power...
The nation of Morrowind took advantage of Cyrodills weakened hold, and claimed war against the Black Marsh. Argonia, in return, defended their country. They claimed war back. Nobody has come to the aid of the Black Marsh. Seeing this, the Black Marsh Forces enacted their contingency plan, attempt to surround and destroy Morrowind, their plan to capture key points all around Vvardenfell and to take the Northern island of Solstheim.
In their master plan, the Argonians attacked an underwater city of the Falmer, or the Snow Elves, ( See the race description for more information on Snow Elves rptheelderscrolls.proboards.com/i....splay&thread=13 ) and took control of it. In this act, although the Falmer on the island of Solstheim don't know, they have declared war against the Falmer.
In Skyyrim, an equally horrific even happens, as civil war amongst the now separated tribes erupt. Old tensions rise again, and tribes charge into battle for control. The Nords, subsequently, aren't tied against or with any other races.
As well, High Rock is in political unrest. They have a few civil wars among their people. Hammerfell, noticing the weakness, decides to strike, greedy for land. However, while Hammerfell attacks the weakened lands of High Rock, they are attacked by an unknown force from behind. Its a large war-band of powerful Orcs! They seek to claim land in Hammerfell, and recreate Orsinium! Hammerfell, wishing to focus on just one enemy, retreats, and gives a portion of their land to the Orcs, thinking they'd lose less casualty if they attack High Rock first, then go for the Orcs.
The Summerset Set Isles are striking out at Valenwood, they see a good opportunity to finally obtain some landmass on the Main-land, whereas they have always been off and away...
Meanwhile, Elsweyr, seeing that the Cyrodiil is weak, fights for a small landmass known as Leywaiin; a land that they once owned, and vie to have back!
The Sload, residence of the Coral Kingdoms, and very inhumanistic, have broken their isolationist ties. One of them attempted to make peace with the Falmer, a high ranked wiseman. The Falmer saw the beast, and thought it some horrid monster, slaying it. What started as peaceful, managed to rouse enough Sload to retaliate against the Falmer, sending a few Sload after them, desiring the extinction of their race.
Meanwhile, far to the South, on the island of Pyandonea, the Maormer, a race of elves, rises from their underground burrows. Their land was once a place of war, but now has mellowed out, abandoned. They attempt to prosper, far away and isolated from the mainland.
Aside from that island, the only safe areas are the more landlocked cities, and the heart of Cyrodiil.
